Essence Garden designs gardens with a strong connection to the surrounding landscape, architecture and history of the area. By choosing plants and other materials that are natural to the site, a harmonious balance is created between man, nature and function. An Essence Garden garden explores the meeting and tension between wild and formal, formal and natural, functional and dreamlike.
My name is Lena Glendor and I am studying to become a Certified Garden Architect at Trädgårdsakademin. In parallel with my education, I work as a gardener where I have the privilege of taking care of gardens and parks designed by Ulf Nordfjell, Marika Delin, Piet Oudulf, Rich brothers and Torsten Wallin. I have also taken on and completed a few assignments for private clients.
With a background as a fashion designer and art director, I have a strong knowledge of design, which I am currently redirecting towards the design of gardens and other outdoor spaces. I look forward to creating spaces that evolve together with those who borrow the space from nature for a while and together make positive impressions for the future.
I am based in Värmdö in the Stockholm archipelago but am happy to take assignments all over Sweden.
