Making must at the fair – make the most of your fruit

You are welcome to bring your apples and pears to us during the fair. Here you will have the opportunity to turn your fruit into juice – completely free of charge.

Must master Jonas Schilén will be there to guide you through the whole process. It’s easy, fun and a great way to make the most of the fall harvest.

For those who are curious to take the next step, you can also buy yeast and other accessories to try fermenting your own cider at home.

Så här går det till:

The making is free, the only cost is the canisters

  • 5 liters: 45 kr
  • 10 liters: 79 kr

Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your own cans or bottles.

  • Maximum 20 kg of fruit per person (to ensure as many people as possible get a chance.)
  • The amount of juice you get depends on the fruit, but expect around 5–10 liters per 20 kg of fruit.
  • If there are many people wanting to juice, we will set up a queue system.

Important to know:

The juice is unpasteurized. If you want to store it for a longer time, you can pasteurize it at home. If you’re planning to brew cider, the juice needs to be unpasteurized in order to ferment. Feel free to ask our juicers on site for tips and advice.

After juicing, you can leave your containers in our free Gear & Plant Cloakroom and pick them up when you’re ready to go home.

Ideas for what to do with your juice:

  1. Make your own apple mulled drink – spicy and warming for Christmas.
  2. Create an apple juice sauce for autumn stews or Christmas ham.
  3. Bake with juice – it adds moisture and flavor to bread and soft cakes.

A warm welcome!
